Abstract
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were proposed by the United Nations (UN) in 2015 to guide countries in achieving sustainable development in the 21st century. The broad aim of these goals is to promote peace and prosperity for the entire world. These 17 Sustainable Development Goals highlight the connections between the environment, social and economic aspect of sustainability and most are synergistic in action. Every country differs in their ability to achieve these 17 sustainable development goals, as their financial, human and natural resources vary, in addition to their geographical location. This presentation will focus primarily on achieving Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 – Quality Education; SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation; SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy and SDG 13 – Climate Action. The Caribbean will be the region of focus.
